Break glass only if necessary
Emergency Banana
One banana. One hammer. No disclosed emergency.
Night Duty
At 2:17 a.m., the service elevator stopped between floors. The alarm called nobody. The cabinet stayed lit, holding one slightly bruised banana behind glass. The hammer remained chained at regulation length. Nobody knew whether to eat it, report it, or wait for authorization. At 4:03, a cleaner placed a folding chair nearby and watched. By sunrise, the elevator worked again. The chair was gone. The banana had not been deployed.
Keep calm. Preserve the banana.
